News, Libel and stalking: the general director of Rai, Mauro Masi reports journalist
In Italy the stalking crime is in fashion, invoked wrongly by politicians and public administrators who consider the attention of newspapers and journalists to be harassment. After the member of Parliament Italo Bocchino, who reported the journalists of Libero and of Il Giornale, now the general director of RAI Mauro Masi accuses journalists of harassment. Masi says he will begin an action for aggravated libel and stalking against the newspaper Fatto Quotidiano because of an article by Marco Lillo, considered the last of a series of pieces, about the general director’s private life too, realized in order to slander him. The article is about a villa in the island of Capri which Mauro Masi should have bought and the entrepreneur Diego Anemone should have renovated. The sale did not take place after “the arrest of Angelo Balducci and Diego Anemone”.
