“Striscia La Notizia” Crew attacked in Rome: three arrests and a lawsuit

They attacked and robbed a crew from the satirical TV show “Striscia La Notizia”, while filming in Via Giolitti, at Rome’s Termini Station.
By the same Thursday, October 23, three people, two Romans and a Neapolitan between 31 and 47 years old, were arrested by the police and will face charges of private violence, damage and serious injuries. Another person, held responsible for the attack against the reporters, was reported instead.
The crew, consisting of two operators/cameramen and the journalist GimmyGhione, was first surrounded and then attacked by a group of a dozen people while filming a report. The attackers beat up the crew damaging the phone and the camera, and then stole the car keys. Later, the agents from the police patrols and from the Viminale constabulary were able to identify four other people considered part of the gang.
