Defamation. TV show “Le Iene” and showgirls to trial following lawsuit from Cairo publishing company
In 2013, in three episodes broadcast by the channel Italia 1 produced interviews that were defined as invented but of which existence there is proof in the archive records. The hearings will begin on January 9th
It was forwarded to another section of the Court of Milan, from the eighth to the fourth criminal court, the tial that was supposed to open on December 9 against the director of the TV channel Italia 1, Luca Tiraboschi, the author and director of the TV show Le IeneDavideParenti, the journalist Filippo Roma, the showgirls ElenoireCasalegno and Vanessa Incontrada and the singers Gigi D’Alessio and Anna Tatangelo, all accused of defamation.
The charges relate to some episodes of the show during which doubts would have been instilled so as to undermine the truthfulness of articles published in the magazines Nuovo and Diva e Donna, owned by the publisher Urbano Cairo.
