Paris. Journalist of “Le Monde” threatened with death, now under police protection
Gérard Davet was threatened, along with the children and his wife. Four anonymous letters received since March 2014. Investigators suspect a Corsican track. Identified the author of the second threat
Gérard Davet, French journalist, reporter of the newspaper Le Monde in Paris, has been living under police protection since September. He has received several death threats. In recent years, along with his colleague Fabrice Lhomme, Davet revealed several scandals: the cases Bettencourt and Kazakhgate, interceptions of Sarkozy and the Corsican Mafia in Africa. It is in this context that the journalist began receiving threats.
