Ernesto Ferrara was accused on Facebook by the Florentine cooperative Socota of spreading “infamous clockwork slander”
On September 3, 2015, the journalist from La Repubblica, Ernesto Ferrara, who had published critical articles on the fees charged by taxi drivers, was abused and held up as an unfair person on the Facebook profile of Socota, one of the two taxi cooperatives of Florence.
Solidarity to the journalist came from the mayor of Florence, Dario Nardella, from the councilor for economic development, Giovanni Bettarini, by the Order of Journalists, by the Roman press association and the editorial board of the La Repubblica. Certificates of closeness and support to Ferrara were also expressed from the other taxi cooperative, Cotafi, from Confartigianato taxi and by the CGIL.
