Web. Defamation. After two years lawsuit against bloggers filed
For the inquiring magistrate, Luigi Boschi has respected the right to criticize. He had been denounced by a collaborator of the Teatro Regio who also asked for the seizure of 5 articles
On October 21, 2015, the Judge for the Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Parma, Maria Cristina Sarli, has filed a defamation suit against the blogger Luigi Boschi, editor of a site that bears his name. Boschi was sued on May 16 of 2013 by Alessandro Borchini, assistant of the executive director of the Teatro Regio in Parma, calling for the seizure and the shutdown of five articles, in his opinion, damaging to his image and reputation. The judge ruled that Boschi has not exceeded “the limits of the right to criticize”. “The reasons given by the judge are thorough. No need to say more”, Boschi commented to Ossigeno.
The offending articles were published on his social blog between February and May 2013. In them, the blogger criticized the assignment of Borchini, considering him as not adequately qualified to fill the role of administrative assistant, and hinted at ‘political support’ that would have favoured his rise.
