Puglia. Mayor files charges against reporter for disturbing a public service
In Bisceglie, Luca Bertazzoni (La7) was shooting a report for Piazzapulita. After the airing of the program, also a councilor has threatened lawsuits
On February 9, 2016 Francesco Spina, mayor of Bisceglie (in the Puglia region), denounced for disturbing a public service the journalist Luca Bertazzoni of the TV show Piazzapulita broadcast on La7. Bertazzoni, who had gone to City Council for shooting a report on the hundreds of requests for membership to the Democratic Party by center-right leaders, including the mayor, he asked questions to the Chief of Staff Mr Vittorio Preziosa, who, because of this, has apparently fallen sick.
Furthermore, the day after the broadcast of the report, on February 12, 2016, the commissioner of the City of Bisceglie, Paolo Ruggieri, called into question by the journalist in the video, has announced that he will pursue legal action so as to “protect the dignity” for him and his sons.
