Reported by Police man who has been threatening Borrometi via web
Giuseppe Cammalleri, who already has a lengthy criminal record, has sent between 31 December 2015 and 26 January 2016 a series of messages directed to the reporter’s website
In mid-February 2016, the Police has reported on serious threats, defamation and insults Giuseppe Cammalleri, now under house arrest and with a lengthy criminal record, since between 31 December 2015 and 26 January 2016 he addressed threats and insults on the web to the journalist under police protection, Paolo Borrometi.
“Paolo Sburrometo (harsh pun between the journalist’s surname, Borrometi, and the word for cum in Italian, translator’s note) mind your own business or you’ll end up badly”; “Paolo Sburrometo police sucker-up and of all the filth that you are”; and again “Borrometi Cali and other bloodsuckers of the State who bust other peoples’ balls and then seek police protection”, Cammalleri wrote sending messages to the website La Spia, of which Borrometi is chief editor, and including among the recipients of the offenses also a local businessman and the police, defined as “infamous cops”.
For the messages received, the journalist filed a complaint for threats, defamation and insults to the Ragusa Police on January 21, 2016 and on the following 15 February. A few days after the complaint by the police against Cammalleri, he now faces a worsening of his detention conditions.
