Messina. Video operators assaulted, insulted and threatened

Two cameramen of a local TV channel Tirreno Sat, Giuseppe Bevacqua and Alessandro Silipigni, were assaulted, insulted and threatened by a young man, while preparing to shoot a report on the social hardship for the show “Voce di popolo” (people’s voice). The aggressor has also damaged the equipment and destroyed a zoom. The incident occurred in the evening of Saturday, March 5, 2016, and took place in the square outside the town hall of Messina. In the morning of Tuesday, March 8, 2016, Bevacqua, furthermore, found on the wall in front of his homes the writing “infamous journalists”.
For the attack in Piazza Municipio on March 7, 2016, a complaint was presentet to the command of the municipal police of Messina. A second complaint, for the episode of the writing appeared on the walls, was presented to the Digos (special police unit) of the local police station on March 8.
