The journalist Ersilio Mattioni, founder and chief editor of the online edition of L’Altomilanese and collaborator of ilfattoquotidiano.it, was the victim of three acts of intimidation within three months. The incidents occurred in Arconate, in the Milanese. The latest act of intimidation dates back to the night between Sunday 15 and Monday 16 May 2016, when unknown persons damaged his car. Other damages to the journalist’s car occurred in mid-March and mid-April. Mattioni, who has been working for several years on alleged criminal business practices within the Lombard political world and carries out investigations on the ‘Ndrangheta, has reported the incidents to the police of Busto Arsizio. The news was given by ilfattoquotidiano.it.
Ossigeno had already in the past had to deal with the threats that Mattioni had received because of his work. On December 20, 2012 the journalist received at the newsroom what looked like a letter of congratulations, from which a cartridge case came out instead.
