Rome. Street vendors threaten journalist and photographer

Maria Egizia Fiaschetti (Corriere della Sera) was in Piazzale Flaminio to document the degradation of the area by the presence of unauthorized stalls

A journalist from the Corriere della Sera, Maria Egizia Fiaschetti, and her photographer were threatened and insulted on June 6, 2017 by some street vendors in Piazzale Flaminio in Rome, while documenting the degradation of the square due to the presence of unauthorized stalls next to regular ones.

“You will not take photos of my stall. I’ll get blood out of your mouth”, the street vendors shouted at the photographer.

Then a series of insults went off against the journalist (watch). The scene took place in front of the municipal police which responded to Maria Egizia Fiaschetti’s request to intervene: “Go and file a lawsuit”.
